Born from a
Pacific Northwest road trip
2020
Picture this: It's the middle of the pandemic. You've planned an epic 10-day Pacific Northwest road trip.
Three different Airbnbs, two hotel stays, stops in Seattle, Bend, and the Oregon coast. You're standing outside the Goonies museum in Astoria, trying to find that Airbnb confirmation while your family waits to snap a photo of Haystack Rock before sunset.
Which confirmation code was for which night? What was the check-in time in Bend versus Seattle? Where did we save that restaurant recommendation?
The trip was incredible—craft breweries in Bend, Pike Place Market in Seattle, that iconic Haystack Rock photo—but the digital chaos? Not so much.
Somewhere between the third Airbnb and the second hotel, the thought hit: “There has to be a better way to manage all this.”
The Name
“Amonos”
Our loving twist on the Spanish “¡Vámonos!”—that universal call to adventure that signals it's time to hit the road, take flight, or simply step out the door.
By dropping the “V,” we created something uniquely ours while keeping that infectious energy that makes your heart race when adventure calls.
It's more than just a name—it's an invitation.
